Reorienting Programme Development/Design

Supported a strategic shift in the organisation’s approach to non-state and private sector funding by providing tailored advisory support across strategy, programme design and communications. This involved reorienting programme development to prioritise problem-solving, measurable impact and robust results frameworks, while ensuring continued alignment with the organisation’s mission and values. Supported the development of concept notes, theories of change, indicators and targets to strengthen programme design and improve the quality and competitiveness of funding proposals. Alongside this, advised on and developed donor-facing communications materials, including impact stories to better articulate programme outcomes and organisational value to prospective funders.

Strengthened internal coordination and decision-making by establishing the Asia department’s first funding database, creating a centralised system to identify, track and manage funding opportunities. This improved visibility across the funding pipeline and enabled more strategic prioritisation of opportunities. Supported the development of funding applications and proposals through refined programme design and clearer articulation of the problems being addressed. In parallel, developed and implemented a fundraising strategy focused on identifying and engaging new non-state donors, with an emphasis on donor cultivation, stewardship and leveraging internal and partner networks to expand funding opportunities and strengthen the organisation’s long-term resource mobilisation efforts.
